Stockblenders
The blending on the mill is commenced with the
stock blender rolls rotating and the traversing
carriage stationary; the compound is taken from
the side of the front roll and fed through the
traversing carriage directly into the
stockblender roll nip. The operator sets the
traversing carriage automatic counter to the
required number of passes, and the carriage
traverse clutch is then engaged to commence
blending. The full width of compound is accepted
continuously into the blender from the mill front
roll, and fed back into the mill nip in the
opposite diagonal position, thus promoting
efficient dispersion of any additives that might
have been added on the mill, or improving the
dispersion of any compound fed directly to the
mill, either from an internal mixer or another
mill.
On completion of blending, the counter stops the
traverse carriage and the compound can then be
removed in strip or sheet form as required.

The NEW MK5 Stockblender now
features a variable speed DC drive and
presettable automatic carriage control.
These new unique features allow the motor speed
to match exactly to your compound requirements.
The presetable carriage traverse control gives
consistent compounding, whilst the unique folding
action ensures complete dispersion in the
shortest cycle time.
Heavy-duty side frames and mounting platforms fit
onto existing mill cheek caps to form a rigid
structure. The CARTER
STOCKBLENDER is a proven design, serving the
rubber industry worldwide.
